At Bluebird Dental, crowns are utilised when an existing tooth is damaged, fractured or weakened. The selected tooth is reshaped into a smaller size removing any decay and refitted with the crown. The crown is placed over the newly shaped tooth like a cap and cemented in place.
As the crown is made of porcelain or ceramic, its colour can be used to texture-match the existing teeth.
